Introduction to strength and conditioning with James Begley
Description
In this 75-minute SPARK Session, we bridge the gap between rehabilitation and goal-specific programming through a women’s health lens. Strength and conditioning are essential for long-term results, moving beyond basic exercises into structured, progressive training.
We explore the foundations of strength and conditioning, including progressive overload, programming structures, and periodization, to create effective and individualized programs. The importance of progression and regression is discussed to ensure exercises are adaptable to different client needs. We also introduce plyometrics, focusing on force absorption and explosive movement development.
By applying these principles, exercise professionals can design evidence-based programs that support client goals, enhance performance, and promote long-term health outcomes.
