Trauma and pelvic health with Stuart McDonald
Description
This 2-hour SPARK Session on trauma and pelvic health covers key concepts related to the interaction between trauma, the body, and the mind. It explores the nature of trauma as a whole-body experience, the impact of structural coupling and dissociation, and the physiological and emotional responses to traumatic events. The conversation also explores the role of the nervous system, the connection between emotions and physical health, and the broader implications of trauma on well-being—each explored through a women’s health lens, relevant to exercise professionals, and fitting within scope of practice.
